I am having is that my Windows files never seem to associate with any programs that I install. For example, after I installed Acrobat on my Win XP machine, PDF files are still not associated with any application. Thus everytime I double-click an PDF file it asks me to select a program to open with. How can I allow Windows to properly associate files? Any idea? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. References forum.parallels.com/threads/windows-file-associations-not-working.14254/Sales Explainer Video

Right click on a file of the type you want to open (like a PDF file) There will be an option "Open with..." (if there isn't, try holding shift while right clicking) You can then select "Choose Default Program..." and you can select the program you want to open all files of that type with.
