Doing up some pz.38(t)'s from Plastic Soldier Company. Nice kits - fast build, 3 vehicles to a box, and can be made as Marders too. I opted for all pz.38(t). Built, next step is painting

Transfers applied, just a few minor details to finish off, like painting the tank commander.

Whipped up some Soviet Aero Sleds in the last few days: RF-8 GAZ-98K Aerosan - 1/72 Ace Kit, pretty poor quality and extremely fiddly to put together, I wouldn't recommend them unless you really like Aerosani and have a lot of patience and enjoy gluing tiny struts into place. First aerosan built: The struts were difficult to clean properly due to being attached to the sprue in many places All 4 built, with snow bases made up and crewmen added (from the PSC T-70 kits) Somewhat wonky... Painted: Thankfully paint covers a lot of sins!

Soviet Army as it stands currently - Just finished off some Siberian riflemen - their snow bases are still wet in this picture, they will dry the same color as the other infantry bases.

A couple of LVCP higgins boats in the works: they're from the airfix D-Day sea assault box set, and we'll likely be putting them to use against the Japanese in the pacific.

Built a Vickers 6-ton / Vickers Mark E for my Chinese. One of the harder kits I've built, and the first time I've come across photo-etched metal parts. It is by no means perfect, and I still have to build 3 more before getting on to painting (which should hopefully cover a lot of failures!) First Vickers 6-ton complete:

Here's the full Chinese force at the moment, Caesar infantry (2 boxes) Strelets RKKA soviet cavalry (2 boxes minus the ones with soviet soft caps), an Airfix SDK.222 and the Vickers 6-ton

Scratch built some Field guns for my Chinese force. These could potentially be Gai Liang field guns. I'll fix the guy whose head I shaved off with some modeling putty.

Another Vickers 6-ton built for the Chinese, all undercoated, and the first box of Caesar infantry most of the way through painting. Note that the colors are much brighter than they will end up - I will use nuln oil (dark wash / oil) to darken the colors down, which will hopefully give them some nice contrast. Still need to paint the skin and hair, do the dark wash, then the bases. The gun crews have also had soft caps made from green stuff / modelling putty.

Chinese infantry mostly finished - just need to base them. The power of Nuln Oil - along with metalics, the only citadel product I use (all the paints are cheap acrylics - mixed by hand) Here's the reference image I used (from Osprey's Chinese Civil war Armies 1911 - 1949) My miniatures before Nuln oil - purposefully painted brighter than the end result I wanted: After Nuln oil - looking pretty good, ready for basing:

Chinese Vehicles and field guns undercoated. Next step is a dark wash, and then fine black borders of the camo pattern with a fine brush tip permanent marker. I also have some blue sunbursts printed out to use as transfers. They dont look great right now, but hopefully the wash, camo borderlines and transfers will bring them to life

A few of the finished vehicles: They look MUCH better with the dark wash, black outlines and transfers / markings

Tried printing a StuG for my 1/72 German army. First time trying to print such small scale, in fact it was supposed to be a Stug G, but the barrel broke and I had to cut to the size of a short-barrelled. Came out nice anyway. (I'm sorry for the bad quality of the pic)
